Picture Perfect

Ever wonder how some riders get those shots that make it into magazines? Well lucky for you that is this week's topic! All you need is 1. A way to ride (boat, cable, winch, etc.), 2. A quality camera (such as GoPro), and 3. A trick that won’t be put on WakeZeach that you can do repeatedly.
1.Naturally if you are going to get pictures of you riding you need to be riding. Don’t be that dude/dudette who takes picture of themselves standing on a rail in a press without moving. We know who you are and you need to stop.
2.Another important part of getting sick photos is having a camera that makes your face recognizable. Next, decide on what angles you want. I find it best to switch it up from the boat to rider shot and implement other angles. Riders do this by using tubes, riding doubles, chase boats, and even docks. Note that when you are using docks the boat may have to get within 150 ft of the pier in order to get a good shot. So before doing that educate yourselves with the rules of the lake so the DNR doesn't ruin your photo shoot and your day. Also no blurry photos. Out of focus photos look sloppy and show that you don’t care about your work. And the last thing is no butt cracks, keep your pants waste level at all times.
3.The trick you are about to take shots of needs to be your own. Put your own style on it and repeat it over and over again until you truly feel like the shot encompasses your riding personality.
Happy riding and can't wait to see those photos in the magazines!
